Our History

The Ivy Educational and Charitable Foundation of Houston, Inc. is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation that was established in April 1981. The organization was chartered by the State of Texas in June 1982, and was classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organizations. The IEACF was established to:  (1) distribute funds for charitable, educational and scientific projects, including the making of contributions to organizations that qualify as exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code; and (2) to provide direct and indirect financial assistance to deserving high school graduating seniors and college students so that they may pursue further training. One of the goals of the IEACF has been to establish a $100,000 Permanent Endowment Fund.  The first scholarship was awarded in 1981. Since that time, the IEACF has awarded over $525,000 in scholarships awarded to deserving scholars. Charitable giving continues to be a priority.
